Frame It!

Altering Frames is one
of my favorite things to do and giving
them as gifts is even more fun!

This month on IIG I choose
to do an autumn themed frame.
I choose this frame at the dollar
store just because it was interesting.
I Love that it's a tall stand up
frame and had spots for 3 photos.
I decorated it the Penny Lane
Line from My Mind's Eye.

Please check out IIG for more
inspirational projects from the fabulous DT
as well as check out this month's Challenge.

To Infinity & Beyond...

Have you ever had something as a
child and though you're grown up you
just can't seem to part with it?

Today this is my story.
Justin is doing a garage sale and as I
a moved through the boxes unpacking I was
sure selling Buzz Lightyear was ok.

And believe me, it was until I went out to
give Justin his wonderful PG Tips (Hot Tea)
and found Buzz in a box grrring like Zoey,
which sounds like a car that needs a new
starter by the way.

I left him thinking he'll stop eventually right.

Went out again and still he's humming/grrring.

Justin tried to fix him, and
couldn't get the screws out.
I tried it and TADA! Popped the Batteries out
and re-inserted them and he works again,
"Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue."

I went to give him to Justin and just as I was
handing him to Justin I pulled back.
No way could I give up something so special.

Yes it's just a toy, but the Christmas I
got him was a Christmas I'll never forget.
My grandfather passed away just before Christmas
and Dad was overseas and needed to fly home.
And Mom, Joe and I had need
to drive to our home town.
Money was tight so the day before Christmas so,
mom had us open our presents and return the
presents we didn't really want or need.
Joe and I we both old enough by this point
so the magic of Santa wasn't required.
I had been all about getting Buzz and a Jewelry Box.

And those are two of the items I kept.
I still have the Jewelry box, though I have
too much jewelry to put into it now :).

We spent Christmas Day on the road driving
the 8 hours back to our home town.
We had Christmas Dinner at a Gas Station.
Joe and I still laugh about that.

Buzz was a bright spot that Christmas
and I don't think I can give that up just yet.
So here he is, melted hand and all.
I'll get a shelf to place him on soon.
Then he'll have a special place in my scrappin area.

Buzz will always have a place in my heart :).

Dotty Diva's Blog Dive!

Welcome to my blog!
I'm so excited to be part of the
Dotty Divas Design Team as well as play
along in the Dotty Diva's first Blog Dive.

If this is your first stop please go to
the Dotty Diva's Blog to start from the
beginning as many of the girls are giving RAKS!

First things first :)!

The Advert for Challenge #5 is pretty cool!
Check it out:

I loved that it was a fruity!
So I ran with that.
I decided to use journaling cards
to make a little notebook.
The cards had cherries and
apples on them, so cute!
Our sponsor this month is Tando Creative!
My Buddy Erin sent me some magic mesh to
play with and I was able to incorporate alittle bit
as a ruffle on bottom of the note pad.
It was my first time using it and it's so cool!
I made the Apple using the
Home Accents Cricut Cart.

Ready for the RAK?

To get your name in the drawing all you do is
post a comment with your answer to this question:

What is your favorite thing about winter?

Once your done take a dive over to the
beautiful and talented Helen's Blog.

CD Ornament Class

So as you see on the left side bar
I'll be giving a class this Saturday!

Yay!

My brother has volunteered his time
to assist me with class.
Yay for Joe!

Before I go on about the class
I just have to say how proud I am to
have such an awesome brother!

Joe (Joseph) will be leaving soon
for Boot Camp. He's going into the
Navy and is going to be a Medic.
I'm sad to see him leave home
but so proud of him and his decision.
Joe and I have our spats
what brother and sister don't?
But no matter what we stay pretty close.
We've had some fun times :).
I'll share with you my favorite.

Joe helped out with the house while we
moved in and one one of our trips to the
store we brought home Nerf Guns.
They were meant just for the boys, but
while Justin was busy Joe and I played.
I pegged him!
And boy was it good!
It was around the wall shot.
He missed me but I pegged him.
Perfectly on the Glasses!
And the Nerf darts had the
suction cups so it stuck.

Here's Justin and Joe being silly:

Ok Ok so on to the Class.
In the Class we'll be making two
CD Ornaments and one CD Tin to match.

It's a super fun project
and make a wonderful gift.

I'll be doing a tutorial for
the winter one later this weekend.

Moving is Tough!

So Justin did his magic on the house,
removing popcorn ceilings, painted and more.
Today was the first day we
really got to move in things.
We moved most of what we have at mom's.
I'll be taking the last of it in just a bit,
which includes my trusty computer that I'm on
right now. Internet will be up in a day or
two but I can't say for sure when I'll get
online again. We start moving things from
the storage unit in the morning.
YAY!
Items I haven't seen in 2 years.
So I'll be working my
tail off setting up house.
But I'll get back to you all soon!

Don't forget about this month's
Craftastic Challenge!!
